Charity Bike Ride 2001
£5,000.00 was raised this year for children with Down’s syndrome. This is a record and a great achievement by the participants in the bike ride and for the members of the Sikh Arts & Cultural Association who run this event. Over 200 cyclists took part in this ride from Birmingham to London. A huge effort by everyone involved.
Peter Elliott accepted the check on behalf of the Down’s Syndrome Research Foundation at the Cultural & Presentations Evening held Saturday 6th October at Southall Community Hall, Southall, London.
These funds will support our efforts to get medical research underway to help children with Down syndrome. We have initiated the biggest Down syndrome research project in history
